Trade talks revolving around quarterback Matthew Stafford are intensifying for the Lions according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.
βItβs pretty hot and heavy right now,β new Detroit head coach Dan Campbell said Saturday, βWeβve got quite a few offers and so it looks like weβve got some trade partners, weβre just trying to work out the best scenario and see whatβs best for us, ultimately.β
As of this week, the Lions have reportedly talked to a third of the League regarding a trade for Stafford. As of yesterday, the Rams emerged as a βviable contenderβ according to Stafford as Los Angeles tries to figure out how to rid themselves of Jared Goff.
βI mean, weβre mindful of trying to give him what he wants as well, but he also knows that, listen, weβre going to find the best value for the Detroit Lions and whatβs best for us,β Campbell said. βThatβs kind of what weβre doing.β
