Detroit Pistons' DaJuan Summers, left, tries to get a shot past Philadelphia 76ers' Elton Brand

According to Sportando, Montepaschi Siena, an Italian team, has announced it’s signed DaJuan Summers for two seasons.

This could certainly be the case given the Pistons didn’t tender Summers a qualifying offer last week making him a free agent. Also given the fact that the NBA is in a lockout with no resolution in sight you could see more players going overseas to play while the NBA and it’s players union can come to terms on a new CBA.

The terms of Summers’ contract are not disclosed however there could be an out clause that would enable Summers to test NBA free agency in 2012.
