Earlier TMZ was reporting that 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick was being investigated for a possible sexual assault at a Miami hotel earlier this month in which charges haven’t yet been brought fourth. However since this morning conflicting reports have emerged regarding the allegations according to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee who also cites a Miami PD report but instead of saying it was a ‘sexual assault’ Kaepeernick is being investigated for alleged ‘suspicious activity’. Furthermore it’s also being reported now that this incident didn’t take place at the Viceroy Hotel in Miami (which was originally reported) but instead Ricardo Lockette’s (of the Seahawks’) apartment involving himself, Kaepernick and Quinton Patton of the 49ers.
So what happened then? Here’s what the Bee says:
According to the report, the incident occurred April 1 when a woman went to Lockette’s apartment in Miami at 9 p.m. Kaepernick and Patton were there, and the woman made drinks and served shots to the players. She was also told “to drink the shots she had to “hit” the bong which contained marijuana,’ the report said.
The report goes on to state that the woman in questions and Kaepernick had a sexual relationship in the past but it’s unclear where that stands now. She apparently though felt light-headed, went to a bedroom where she was joined by Kaepernick where she said no sex took place. However the woman doesn’t remember much and has no idea how she woke up in a hospital bed the next day.
