San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick is reportedly being investigated for a ‘possible sexual assault’ according to TMZ who cites law enforcement authorities in Miami. With details being very sketchy and the investigation in the ‘beginning stages’ the alleged incident took place at the Viceroy Hotel in Miami ‘earlier this month’.
The 49ers also recently released a short statement regarding the situation saying their in the process of gathering the ‘pertinent facts’.

Although no charges have been filed as of yet this is obviously a story to keep an eye one. Kaepernick, who is regarded as one of the best QB’s in the league was looking to get a contract extension this Summer from the Niners, a team he’s led to two straight NFC Championship games and one Super Bowl appearance.
TMZ also notes that Kaepernick was at the hotel in question as early as April 5th where he hung out with a wedding party by the pool.
The Big Lead also notes that Kaepernick has been quiet on Instagram since April 6th and quiet on Twitter since April 7th.
