As expected after his debut last week on Smackdown, Cain Velasquez has signed what is reported to be a “lucrative” multi-year deal with WWE. ESPN was the first to drop the news.

Additionally, Cain Velasquez is scheduled to take on WWE Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar — who Velasquez beat for the UFC Heavyweight title back in 2010 — at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on October 31.
Velasquez though isn’t the only combat fighter making a cross over to pro wrestling.
Champion boxer Tyson Fury will take on Braun Stroman also at Crown Jewel which unlike Velasquez is only scheduled to be a one-off. Fury is expected to return to the boxing ring in 2020 for a fight against Deontay Wilder, a rematch from their December 2018 bout.
