Braylon Edwards was suspended from his TV gig with the Big Ten Network after the former Michigan receiver took some what I’m sure many would agree were some well deserved shots at his alma mater following their loss to Notre Dame on Saturday.

Edwards’ tweets – which have since been deleted – referred to offensive lineman Cesar Ruiz as ‘weak’, the offensive line in general as ‘weak’, the offense being ‘predictable’, Shea (Patterson) being ‘scared’ and Michigan football as ‘trash’. Edwards also questioned any hope for an improvement with the running back and quarterback positions.

Michigan

In response BTN suspended Edwards ‘indefinitely’ for violating the Network’s ‘social media policy’.

Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh also responded saying “First of all, it’s not true, factually. There’s nobody in our program who thinks those things about any player on our team, let alone the two players he described.”

Not that what Edwards said was wrong in any sense. Sure the shots at Ruiz were a little harsh but Michigan is 9-9 in their last 18 games and are shelling out a shit ton of money to Harbaugh who has yet to develop quarterback during his time in Ann Arbor. And yes it’s early but Michigan scored one touchdown on offense Saturday night in South Bend and if it wasn’t for that kickoff return for a touchdown the final score would have looked much more lopsided than it did.
