Brady Hoke named 19th coach of the University of Michigan football program

It’s official! Brady Hoke is officially 19th coach of the University of Michigan football program.
This is according to www.mgoblue.com, the university’s official site.
Athletic Director, David Brandon, released an official statement on the hiring of the new coach:
“We are pleased to announce the hiring of Brady. He is a terrific coach and will be a great ambassador and leader for our football program. We look forward to having him build a championship program on the field and in the classroom.”
Hoke spent eight seasons at Michigan as a member of the defensive line coaching staff, and was on staff for the 1997 national championship. Hoke was formerly head coach of the San Diego State University Aztecs, and led the school to its first bowl game in 12 years.
All in all Brady Hoke has 28 years experience at the collegiate level including: Assistant coaching positions at Grand Valley State University, Western Michigan, Toledo, Oregon State, and of course Michigan.
Brady Hoke will be formally announced as the head coach of the University of Michigan Wolverines football program Wednesday January 12, 2011 at 1pm EST.
