Poor Donald Trump!
The sports world continues to shit on him after the pesky, fascist riot he helped incite last Wednesday. First it was the PGA Tour announcing that they would strip Trump National of of hosting the 2022 PGA Championship. Then it was the Open Championship saying they essentially want nothing to do with Trump Turnberry. And now, it’s Patriots head coach Bill Belichick saying he won’t accept the Presidential Medal of Freedom from the President that was orginally supposed to be awarded to the head coach this coming Thursday.
The White House was made aware of Belichick’s decision which I’m sure pissed Trump off since he’s incredibly petty, even after his attempted coup that ended up costing lives.
Belichick was a supporter of Donald Trump back in 2016. It’s unclear who the New England head coach supported this latest cycle but the optics and fallout for Belichick the Patriots of accepting this award would have been incredibly bad. And that’s just considering the fascist riots that took place at the U.S. Capitol this past Wednesday. Lets not forget the the 375K deaths due to coronavirus pandemic that Donald Trump continually looked to downplay.
