According to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com the many individuals within the Lions organization fear that running back Jahvid Best’s career may be over.
Florio cites an article from Mlive.com’s Anwar Richardson who reports that “many within the organization” are concerned that Best will not return after suffering a concussion during an October 16th game against the 49ers.
That latest concussion for Best came only a week after recording a career high 163 yards in a win over the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football.
Best recently said that he was healthy and would definitely be back however with the way the league is handling concussions and the high risk position the Best plays it really starts to make you wonder what kind of player Best will be when he comes back, if he comes back.
Furthermore the worry and speculation within the Lions organization could be seen with the apparent interest in Boise State running back Doug Martin among others.
