So as it turns out, Brandon Inge won’t be taking his nice guy image, glove and little league bat down to South Beach.
Juan C. Rodriguez of the Sun Sentinel reported last week that the Marlins may be interested in bringing 3B Brandon Inge aboard to help fill their void at third and provide a bridge to Matt Dominguez. Rodriguez is now saying that he was informed by a Marlins official saying they were unsure how the Inge rumor started and that there is nothing to it.
Brandon Inge was designated for assignment last week after the Tigers acquired 3B Wilson Betemit from the Kansas City Royals via trade.
