2020 has sucked enough and one of the last things Michigan fans needed was the NBA coming in and swiping another one of their head coaches.
Fortunately enough, it doesn’t seem like Juwan Howard is going to take the bait after rumors started swirling Monday that he was drawing interest from NBA teams as the season progresses through the playoffs and towards what we can only assume is going to be a weird offseason.
Of course Juwan Howard could be bullshitting everyone and could actively be talking to the likes of the Brooklyn Nets among other teams. He certainly wouldn’t be the first college coach to say one thing to the public while doing the complete opposite behind closed doors. Then again though, Juwan Howard isn’t some outside guy the Michigan athletic department happened to hire who found success in Ann Arbor like John Beilein (and that’s no disrespect to Coach B, it’s just a matter of fact). Howard has a deep history with the Maize n’ Blue and although he very well could make that jump to the NBA in the future, you’d have to think that at this time, it’ll have to be a no-brainer offer presented to him that ultimately pries the Michigan head coach away from the Wolverines.
