The Lions made their way back to .500 on the season with a 32-21 win over the Miami Dolphins from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.

Aside from this being Detroit‘s first road win of the season the Lions show the fans something today something they’ve had trouble in doing for as long as anyone can remember.

Win a game that Matthew Stafford doesn’t necessarily have to win for you.

Sure the Lions quarterback played well throwing for 217 yards and two touchdowns however the number like that would usually mean the Lions are coming out on the short end of some crooked score. Instead though low and behold Detroit found some balance behind Kerryon Johnson and Frank Ragnow in a ground game that has come to life after so many seasons of being ice cold.

The Lions rookie duo of o-lineman and running back helped power a 248 rushing yard day that included one touchdown.

Moreover though the Lions managed to gain the most rushing yards in a single game that they’ve seen since November 23, 1997 when Barry Sanders was their lead rusher that day.

Tight end Michael Roberts also had himself a game after missing most of the season with an injury. Matthew Stafford used him on two separate plays for touchdown passes of 15 and four yards.

Detroit was pretty efficient in basically all assets when it came to their offense. They punted once and didn’t turn the ball over all game.
