The NFL supplemental draft still an option for Ohio State’s Pryor

Even though Ohio State QB Terrelle Pryor said he would like to return to the team, the embattled Buckeye QB seems unlikely to return.

With the NCAA launching an investigation into the improper benefits that Pryor has received during his time in Columbus the NFL supplemental draft may be an outlet to the NFL for Pryor. Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reported last Wednesday that the NFL supplemental draft can take place within 10 days before training camp.

The supplemental draft may also be an option for the other players involved in the tattoo scandal for Ohio State including Mike Adams, Daniel Herron, and DeVier Posey.

Aside from Pryor, the most intriguing and appealing name for NFL teams out of that group could be Mike Adams. Even though he has been a relative under achiever at OSU he had a strong junior season and possesses the size and feet to play left tackle in the NFL.

Pryor however is the most athletic of the bunch but clearly not ready to take over as a QB in the NFL. In fact many have questioned whether or not Pryor could ever become a serviceable QB in the NFL. However because of Pryor’s size and athletic ability he could have the option of switching to tight end or wide receiver once in the NFL.

According to league sources no player has declared themselves eligible for the supplemental draft however that is something that could change quickly.
