According to TSN.ca, Colin Campbell,  the NHL senior vice-president and director of hockey operations will step away from his role as the NHL’s head disciplinarian.

Sources are telling TSN that former NHL forward Brendan Shanahan may take over that role however the NHL may choose to overhaul how supplemental discipline is handled.

Campbell held this role since July of 1998.
