A GIANT COMEBACK! San Francisco beats Cardinals to advance to the World Series

There will be a new World Series Champion this season as the San Francisco Giants eliminated the St. Louis Cardinals 9-0 in Game 7 of the NLCS Monday night.

Now the newly crowned National League Champion Giants have a Wednesday date with the Detroit Tigers to kick off the World Series.

After falling behind in the NLCS, the Giants rallied to come back and beat the Cardinals becoming the first team in MLB history to win six straight elimination games on their way to the World Series. San Francisco came back from an 0-2 hole against the Cincinnati Reds in the NLDS.

Meanwhile for the St. Louis Cardinals, it seems as though the magic simply dried up after their amazing run to a World Series Championship last season as well as their impressive trek to the NLCS this season.

Giants second baseman Marco Scutaro was named the NLCS MVP after hitting .500 in the series while looking very good defensively.

San Francisco starter Matt Cain went 5.2 innings allowing zero runs on 5 hits with 4 strikeouts and 1 walk. Kyle Lohse on the other hand got roughed up early lasing just two innings as he let up 5 runs on 6 hits.
