Overnight, the Miami Dolphins officially released wide receiver Tyreek Hill, ending his four-year tenure with the team, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Hill’s release comes as part of a broader roster overhaul under the Dolphins’ new regime, which also includes several other veteran departures as the franchise works to reset its salary cap and direction.

Hill, an eight-time Pro Bowl wideout and five-time First-Team All-Pro, is currently recovering from a dislocated knee and torn ACL suffered during the 2025 season, making the timing of the move significant as he rehabs.

The release will save Miami approximately $22.8 million in cap space, and Hill will enter unrestricted free agency for the first time in his career ahead of his 32nd birthday.

During his Dolphins tenure, Hill recorded 4,733 receiving yards and 27 touchdowns in Miami after being acquired from the Chiefs, where he had already established himself as one of the league’s top receivers.
