Former Green Bay Packers linebacker Nick Barnett is expected to visit the Lions on Sunday where he will discuss the possibility of signing a contract with the team. This is according to Lions beat writer Tom Kowalski.
Due to salary cap issues, the Packers released the veteran linebacker on Friday. Kowalski also states that the Lions are also still in the mix for Tennessee linebacker Stephen Tulloch.
Kowalski cites a source that’s close to the situation who says Barnett will fly into Detroit Saturday night then meet with Lions officials on Sunday.
