Detroit Pistons' DaJuan Summers, left, tries to get a shot past Philadelphia 76ers' Elton Brand

According to Sportando, Montepaschi Siena, an Italian team, has announced itโ€™s signed DaJuan Summers for two seasons.

This could certainly be the case given the Pistons didnโ€™t tender Summers a qualifying offer last week making him a free agent. Also given the fact that the NBA is in a lockout with no resolution in sight you could see more players going overseas to play while the NBA and itโ€™s players union can come to terms on a new CBA.

The terms of Summersโ€™ contract are not disclosed however there could be an out clause that would enable Summers to test NBA free agency in 2012.
