What would a weekend be without more Lions controversy?
Toward the end of the first half in Detroit, Matthew Stafford and the Lions were driving before a 3rd and goal yielded a Bears interception in the end zone after Golden Tate couldn’t hold onto the football.
Or so it seemed.
After further review to the play, the call was reversed giving the Lions a touchdown and 21-13 lead heading to the break. The play and eventual call had the FOX announcers including former head of officiating Mike Pereira. Meanwhile the current VP of officiating believed Golden Tate caught the ball and made a football move agreeing with the overturn.

Bottom line… no one knows what a catch in the NFL is anymore.
And of course, Golden Tate is no stranger to controversial touchdown catches himself.
