The Lions have elected to keep the band together, re-signing Long Snapper Don Muhlbach to a 1-year deal. His contract will be for around one million dollars according to DetroitLions.com’s Tim Twentyman.
His work will likely go without major recognition in 2015 as does most long snappers. The average fan will only know his name if he blows a game with a bad snap.
Muhlbach is a 10-year veteran who has one Pro Bowl appearance back in 2012.
The Lions now have Punter Sam Martin and Muhlbach under contract for next season as incumbent kicker Matt Prater is a free agent, although the Lions and Prater have expressed interest in reuniting.
