The idea of conference realignment and super conferences is back at the forefront again as Texas A&M decided that they would leave the Big 12 effective July 2012.
During the Texas/Rice game Saturday night, Rice’s band decided to have their own take on the conference realignment idea. During halftime the Rice Band spelled out SEC but used a dollar sign for the S.
You have to figure that Texas AD DeLoss Dodds wasn’t happy with the Rice display considering it could come back to haunt his program since the game happened in Austin. The same could be said for Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe who is probably not going to be shown any mercy from the SEC now.
It was pretty funny nonetheless.
