After working out Justin Forsett on Monday, the Lions officially signed the veteran running back today according to various sources including Forsett’s own Twitter page.

The Lions need a running back in light of the injuries to Ameer Abdullah and Dwayne Washington. There’s no denying that.
Is Forsett the answer though, at least for the time being?
Who knows? He wasn’t very productive this season which ultimately got him cut from the Baltimore Ravens after just three games accumulating just 98 yards on 31 attempts. He’s also a season and a half removed from 2014 when he rushed for 1266 yards and eight touchdowns.
So… as long as the Lions aren’t expecting a repeat of 2014 they won’t be disappointed.
