After going 6-3 since taking over offensive play calling, the Detroit Lions have named Jim Bob Cooter, or the ‘Coots’ the permanent OC heading into next season.

Under the Coots, the Lions again had that aforementioned winning record and also averaged 24.3 points per game during that time span. Unfortunately though it was also during that nine game stretch the Lions played teams who went a combined 60-68 with two of those organizations (Green Bay and Kansas City) making it to the playoffs.
