Maybe overall success is more intriguing then a family connection?
Greg Johnson of the Grand Rapids Press writes that highly touted cornerback recruit Doran Grant has decided to commit to Ohio State rather than Michigan State where his father Ted Jones was a former wide receiver.
The 5-11, 177lb. recruit is currently a senior at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio and made his announcement on ESPN during their telecast of the Under Armour All American Game from St. Petersburg, Florida Wednesday night.
“This was the place that I felt the most comfortable at,” Grant told ESPN. “My family is excited for me, and always encouraged me to make my own decision.”
Grant is ranked in the top 100 for the nation’s top recruit according to many recruiting services and website.
