Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press writes that WR/Punt Returner Dennis Northcutt has been released by the Lions. In addition to this the Lions also claimed tight end Spencer Havner off waivers from the Green Bay Packers.
The Lions also started assembling their practice squad by signing cornerback Paul Pratt, linebacker Caleb Campbell and receiver Mike Moore all to their practice squad. Each of these players also indicated on their Twitter that they would indeed be signing with the Lions to play on their practice squad.
In other news, former Lions defensive tackle Landon Cohen was claimed off waivers by the Jacksonville Jaguars. This was confirmed by his agent Drew Rosenhaus via twitter.
