According to James Schmehl of Mlive.com and the Washington Post, highly touted DT recruit Darian Cooper has decided to sign on with Iowa passing over Michigan and Michigan State. Cooper was also considering Georgia Tech.
Cooper, a three star recruit, was visited by Michigan head coach Brady Hoke last week. He (Cooper) was also a teammate of Michigan State commitment Darien Harris at DeMatha High in Hyattsville, Maryland.
Currently Michigan has the 2nd best recruiting class in the Big Ten while Michigan State comes in right behind them at number 3. In terms of the national rankings, Michigan is ranked number 24 and Michigan State comes in at number 29.
