Up 27-24 on Pittsburgh early in the 4th quarter and in and around the 10-yard line Lions head coach Jim Schwartz elected for the fake field goal instead of the chip shot and easy three points.
The gamble didn’t pay off as the Steelers sniffed out the fake and recovered the ball near the goal line.
On the ensuing possession for Pittsburgh they took the ball down field to take the lead and never looked back as they held the Lions scoreless in the second half.
