So it sounds like Jerry Jones has his new yes man in Dallas as Jay Glazer has reported that the Cowboys have hired former Packers head coach Mike McCarthy.

The move could very well work out for the Cowboys but I’m going to be skeptical.

Why?

Well first, Jerry Jones made the hire so that alone makes it fair game to criticize any deal the Cowboys make until proven wrong.

Second, the ink wasn’t even dry on Jason Garrett’s walking papers before the Cowboys pulled the trigger on McCarthy.

I mean did they only interview Martin Lewis and McCarthy? I don’t think McCarthy was going anywhere too quickly considering the guy didn’t have a job last year. Plus, there is some sour note on how things ended in Green Bay with him.

Anyways, McCarthy does bring in a winning record and a Super Bowl with him to “Big D”, so there’s always that.

I’ll still be skeptical though.
