The Mark Dantonio era at Michigan State is over.
In a tweet posted Tuesday afternoon, the Michigan State head coach announced that he would be retiring after 13-seasons on the sidelines for the Spartans.
This kind of came out of nowhere despite Michigan State football being stuck in neutral (and sometimes reverse) the past few seasons.
Perhaps though this had something to do with it…
Or maybe there is something else…
