Liverpool’s Mo Salah has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 while on international duty according to Egypt’s football association.

Salah, had been set to play for Egypt’s national team in tomorrow’s African Cup of Nations qualifier against Togo. However, a swab from one of Salah’s tests came back positive despite the forward not showing any symptoms for the virus.

Salah will not go into isolation and be “subject to more checks in the coming hours”.

As far as Liverpool goes, the Reds don’t have a Premier League fixture again until November 21 which probably means Salah will most certainly miss that match given the timeline of the illness and when it eventually leaves the system.
