Liverpoolโ€™s Mo Salah has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 while on international duty according to Egyptโ€™s football association.

Salah, had been set to play for Egyptโ€™s national team in tomorrowโ€™s African Cup of Nations qualifier against Togo. However, a swab from one of Salahโ€™s tests came back positive despite the forward not showing any symptoms for the virus.

Salah will not go into isolation and be โ€œsubject to more checks in the coming hoursโ€.

As far as Liverpool goes, the Reds donโ€™t have a Premier League fixture again until November 21 which probably means Salah will most certainly miss that match given the timeline of the illness and when it eventually leaves the system.
