After everyone essentially saying that Andre Drummond wasn’t going to be moved by Detroit, what ultimately happened isn’t sitting well with the veteran center.
Just prior to the NBA trade deadline Thursday, the Pistons shipped their big man out of town to the Cavaliers and almost immediately upon the news dropping, Drummond was taking to Twitter to lambast the NBA about its lack of “loyalty” and friendships.
I mean he’s right. But on the flip was Drummond going to show any kind of “loyalty” when it came to his next free-agent contract? Probably not and nor should he. The NBA is cutthroat, just like any other professional league in the county. As a player, go in and get everything you can out of the organization before they kick you to the curb.
