First the catch rule and now the tackle?

The NFL continues to have trouble distinguishing the most fundamental parts of its own game after this tackle by Packers linebacker Clay Matthews was called for roughing the passer.

According to the broadcast after, the NFL determined the problem with the tackle wasn’t Matthews getting his helmet up near the shoulder pads of Washington QB Alex Smith, it was Matthews landing on the quarterback with his ‘bodyweight’.

Are you fucking serious?

How the hell are you suppose to tackle someone if you don’t end up landing on them afterwards?

What a goddamn joke.
