Wimbledon

Unlike the women’s side, the men’s final at Wimbledon yielded no surprises.

For the 8th time, Roger Federer won Wimbledon as he dominated Marin Cilic from center court by a final of 6-3, 6-1, 6-4. Not only that, Federer joins Bjorn Borg as the only two men in the open era to win Wimbledon without losing a set.

Federer is 35-years-old and has now won his 19th career grand slam which places him well ahead of rival Rafael Nadal at 15 and Novak Djokovic at 12. What’s even more remarkable is even at his age – which by tennis standards is well past prime – the Swiss legend still doesn’t seem to be slowing down too much. If at all.
