Detroit Lions GM Bob Quinn continues to make deals that involves his former team the New England Patriots in some capacity.
According to ESPN, the Lions traded former 2014 second round draft pick Kyle Van Noy to the Patriots for an undisclosed draft pick.

After a tough couple of seasons to start his NFL career, the BYU alum was able to start all seven games for the Lions this season. This includes 35 tackles over two seasons with the team with 23 of those tackles happening this season alone as a starter.
The move however is a little perplexing considering the lack of depth Detroit has at the position. They’ve dealt with a rash of injuries to DeAndre Levy, John Bostic, Josh Bynes and Antwione Williams.
So what are the Lions going to do at linebacker? That seems to be the big questions for the Lions right now considering Antwione Williams is the only one of those four aforementioned available.
UPDATE: The Lions will receive a 6th round pick in return from the Patriots but will give up a 7th rounder in addition to Van Noy.
