Tom Kowalski of Mlive.com is reporting that LB Jordan Dizon of the Detroit Lions will be out for the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury in tonight’s preseason opener against the Steelers.
According to Kowalski, Lions’ Head Coach Jim Schwartz referred to the injury as serious but did not comment on how long Dizon would be out. Dizon himself however was heard telling people he would be lost for the rest of the season.
This is a blow the the Lions linebacking core which already has an injury to starter DeAndre Levy who Dizon was initially filling in for.
If Dizon is in fact gone for the season, Schwartz did indicate that personnel moves would have to be made.
