The Majors Detroit Pregame Analysis:

Adam “Dorf” Waltersdorf

I unlike my colleagues below do not think that this will be an offensive shootout. I don’t think the Lions can keep up with the Packers, especially because with a healthy Aaron Rodgers, there is no hope of  a Lions victory. They just don’t beat the Pack when he plays, regardless if the game is played at Lambeau or Ford Field.

Final Score: Packers 27 – Lions 20

“Downtown” Russell Brown

Nate Freese comes through finally and it will be a complete shootout. The Lions are at home, a place where they play pretty well. It’s going to be loud and they’re going to try and make a statement. Rodgers and Stafford shred both defenses but ultimately Calvin gets two touchdowns, Ebron grabs his first touchdown and Bell redeems himself. Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb have great games but Eddie Lacy ultimately is the goat of their offense as he gets limited to 60 yards rushing. Can’t wait to watch the game.

Final Score: Lions 38 – Packers 31

Jason Bray

Expect to see the ball in the air 90 times between the two QB. Forget defense, the game will look like you’re playing your buddy in Madden. One of these teams might see 40 points. I think we see big days for WR’S and QB’S along with some sacks. I say it some down to a late score and I’ll take Rodgers over Stafford every time until he shows different.

Final Score: Packers 38 – Lions 35

Adam Hernandez

Being a Lions fan you’re always a little weary picking Detroit to win, especially when they’re giving points at home. Last week the Lions’ offense looked bad against a very good Carolina defense while the Pack looked bad (at home) against a mediocre Jets team.

If the Lions are good… at all, this is a game they win. I’m probably playing with fire given how thin Detroit is in the secondary going up against Aaron Rodgers but I’ll give the Lions the benefit of the doubt this early in the season and at home.

Final Score: Lions 31 – Packers 28
