The Red Wings re-sign Dan Cleary to a one-year deal

The Red Wings are bringing back forward Dan Cleary on a one-year deal according to the team’s official Twitter page. Per club policy, details on the contract will not be disclosed however Cleary did have a previous cap hit of around $1.7M last years.

To much of the dismay of Red Wings fans everywhere the two sides seemed to honor a verbal agreement back in September that the veteran forward would be brought back for the 2014-15 campaign.

Last season Cleary had 4 goals, 4 assists and 8 points in 52 games played. He was also a minus-11 with 31 penalty minutes.
