Montreal’s P.K. Subban ended a 3-3 stalemate between the Canadians and Bruins in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semi’s to give the Habs a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.
The OT winner was actually Subban’s second goal of the game as Carey Price was as equally magnificent turning away 48 shots in the win.
It left Montreal fans ecstatic while Boston fans were left stunned especially after Johnny Boychuk scored at the 18:02 mark to knot up the game at 2 a piece giving the B’s a chance in OT.
However it was some Boston fans that left the city’s fan base with a black eye.
Immediately in the wake of Subban’s game winner Bruins’ trolls took to Twitter igniting a firestorm of racist tweets directed towards the Montreal star.

– N***** was trending in Boston because P.K. Subban scored… It’s a rare moment in my life to be ashamed to be a Bruins fan.
– I bet the Bruins fans calling P.K. Subban a n***** on Twitter have no idea his brother plays for their minor league team.

The racist idiocy got so bad Bruins team president Cam Neely had to release a statement on behalf of the organization:
The racist, classless views expressed by an ignorant group of individuals following Thursday’s game via digital media are in no way a reflection of anyone associated with the Bruins organization
Interestingly enough some of these Boston fans seem to forget that Jarome Iginla – who is a Bruin – is on their team not to mention P.K. Subban’s brother, Malcom is in the Boston organization! So on top of being a cold-hearted racist they’re also incredibly dumb. Then again if you’re a racist you’re also unquestionably stupid as well. It’s also amazing as well considering we just went through that Donald Sterling fiasco this week.
