In the wake of fans learning that Yankees slugger Aaron Judge would miss at the very least three weeks (and that’s being overly optimistic) fans in the Bronx held a candlelight vigil – with cell phones – as the Yankees faithful turned to faith in this trying time for the Bombers.

Judge left early in a game against the Kansas City Royals when he was hit in the wrist by pitch. An MRI revealed a chip fracture which will keep him from even picking up a bat and swinging it for those three weeks.

Aaron Judge is currently slashing at .285/.398/548 with an OPS of .946 while the Yankees sit 4.5 games back behind the Red Sox in the AL East but hold a 4.5+ game advantage for the first wild card spot in the American League. Likewise however, Judge’s offensive numbers are a noticeable piece taken out of the lineup which is also without Gary Sanchez until at least late August with a re-aggravated groin injury.
