A day after Isaiah Thomas said he didn’t want to be traded, he was indeed traded by the Cleveland Cavaliers in a deadline day blockbuster.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Cavs sent Thomas along with Channing Frye and a first rounder in 2018 to the Lakers for Larry Nance and Jordan Clarkson.

It’s unclear at this point what that Thomas tribute video may contain upon his return to Cleveland but there’s not doubt it’ll be compelling. I guess it’s safe to assume at this point too the Celtics won that Thomas for Kyrie Irving trade last summer.
As far as the Lakers go, they’ve now cleared enough space for two make contracts this offseason and will be big time players on the market. According to them too they’re looking to hold onto Thomas and Frye but we all know how quickly that can change in the NBA.
