Detroit

Fans in Detroit set another record when it came to a professional women’s hockey game.

Sunday night, 14,288 fans were on at the Little Caesars Arena to watch the Minnesota Frost take on the New York Sirens. New York went on to win the game 4-1, however, perhaps the bigger story may have been the atmosphere as fans in attendance chanted “We want a team” as the single-entity league seemingly scouts North America for their seventh franchise.

It does seem pretty inevitable at this point that Detroit gets a PWHL team. It’s hard to look over a major market city that sets two different attendance records.
