Detroit City DC secured another win on Saturday night, defeating Monterey Bay F.C. 2-0. This victory marks their third consecutive win as they climb to the third spot in the East.

Forward Ben Morris scored an absolute banger to open things up for City in the first half after a slow start for Le Rouge. The build-up may have been just as good though with some pretty touches from James Murphy and Connor Rutz to set up Morris for his eighth goal of the season.

City added some insurance in the second as Connor Rutz found the back of the net off a corner served up by Alex Villanueva.

Rutz has now scored two goals in two consecutive games, making the most of his opportunities since returning to the starting XI.

DCFC goalkeeper Nate Steinwascher earned his fifth clean sheet of the season in his first start since August 24.
