USA Today released the 2013 preseason Coaches Poll and to no one’s surprise, the defending champion Alabama Crimson Tide top the 25 list of teams.

Now if you’re not a fan of these rankings, especially the preseason ones it’s totally understandable however out of all the teams currently ranked heading into the regulars season, Alabama should be (and are) the clear cut No. 1. In fact when talking about Alabama I have no problem what-so-ever referring to them as a dynasty in the making and a without a doubt favorite to make it to the National Championship Game.

The big question is which team could get in the way of the Tide and their road to another National Championship?

Ohio State is one team that you have to consider given that they’ve served their penalty and have compiled a dangerous team under new coach Urban Meyer (obviously a former SEC guy). The Buckeyes though are an interesting case after their undefeated season last year. Can they continue to produce wins when those games have much more of a premium set on them?

You also have Oregon who is the Coaches Poll No. 2 however the Ducks should have their hands full in the Pac-12 competing against Stanford who should be good once again this season.

Nonetheless it’s probably a safe assumption that the rest of the SEC will probably beat up on each other while I personally believe the Oklahoma State will come out on top of the Big 12 so it’s conceivable that they Cowboys could have their shot at Alabama come Championship time.
