US to play for bronze after 1-0 loss to Canada

For the second straight day Team USA fell to Canada in Olympic hockey. This time though it came on the men’s side of things as Canada beat the United States 1-0 earning a shot at their second straight gold medal.

Jonathan Quick made 36 saves, keeping the United States within reach the entire afternoon.

However it was the Canadian defense and 31 saves from Carey Price that propelled Canada to victory.

Jamie Benn scored the lone goal of the game after getting a deflection from a Jay Bouwmeester shot from the point.

Canada will now move on to play Sweden for the gold Sunday while the United States will play Finland for the bronze Saturday.
