There seems to finally be some positive news to report on Bills safety Damar Hamlin nearly three days after the 24-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest during Monday Night Football in Cincinnati against the Bengals.

According to the Bills who posted an update on Twitter, Hamlin has “shown remarkable improvement over the past 24 hours” adding he “appears to be neurologically intact” and that his lungs “continue to heal”.

The NFL Networks, Ian Rapoport also provided some updates saying that Hamlin “opened his eyes last night and is responsive” after speaking with individuals close to the safety.

Obviously, it’s great to hear this news with Hamlin considering the incredibly scary situation that happened Monday night. It also further elaborates on the seriousness of the situation that occurred and why it’s still completely justified that the league still hasn’t come to any sort of conclusion on what will ultimately happen with the postponement. Especially when you have the Skip Bayless types both in the media and out that still want to interject football and fantasy points into a situation where it just simply doesn’t belong.
