According to the Detroit News by way of the Associated Press the University of Michigan almost cracked the AP Top 25 after their 30-10 victory over UConn on Saturday. Technically speaking UM came in at number 26 by receiving 71 votes while Michigan State came in at number 42.

The only thing I ask is why? Why does Michigan deserve to be in the top 25 let alone ranking in higher then Michigan State? Neither team deserves to be ranked until they prove that they can beat form able opponents and not mid major schools. Yes, I know UConn is part of the Big East and has been picked by many to win the Big East but lets not kid ourselves, the Big East is not the Big Ten, it’s not the SEC hell it’s not even the ACC. If Michigan were to beat Notre Dame next week then yes, I can totally see them breaking into the top 25. This all is simply the national media lathering up in some UM butter.
