Estadio Azteca appears to not only be hell on the field for the players, but hell in the stands for opposing fans.
Tuesday, the United States went into the home of the Mexican National Team for a World Cup Qualifier in which both teams finished with a 0-0 draw.
Not that exciting right?
Well considering Estadio Azteca is one of the most hostile environments in the world for opposing teams, escaping with a scoreless tie was a victory in itself as the U.S. Team danced off the field reveling in their accomplishment. In the stands it was much of the same as the American fans celebrated behind riot police while Mexican fans pelted their counterparts with beer and trash.
Now fans should never throw beer or trash on the opposing fans, but if any fans were deserving of something like this happening to them it was the U.S. fans at this game judging from the video. They were acting like total fools mocking the hometown Mexican team again something no visiting fan should do in the opponents home stadium.
