The Wings continue to prepare for the regular season opener this Friday against the Ottawa Senators. ‘

- It’s also important to note that Thomas Holmstrom and Patrick Eaves did not practice today due to injury. They are however expected to go on Friday.
- Dan Cleary also participated in some light contact drills after being held out during the final stages of preseason due to an upper-body injury. He is also expected to be in the lineup Saturday.
- The only player who is a no go Friday thus far is defenseman Mike Commodore. He will be sidelined due to a sore knee. Jakub Kindle will take his spot and be paired with Jonathan Ericsson in the season opener.
