Tom VanHaaren of WolverineNation on ESPN.com reports that Stefon Diggs (Olney, Md./Good Counsel), the #10 overall prospect on the ESPNU 150 and the No. 2 overall receiver in the country is potentially interested in the Michigan Wolverines football program.

Michigan may have an advantage to acquire Diggs given thereโ€™s a familiar face on the Michigan squad in Blake Countess who was a former high school teammate of Diggs. Diggs was also impressed in the way that Countess got the chance to win the starting corner back job which he ended up doing.

โ€œAt first I was a little shaky with Michigan, because I knew Blake was one of the best guys out there but he wasnโ€™t playing,โ€ he said. โ€œThen I noticed that heโ€™s gotten the starting job. He worked for it and won it, and that makes me feel more comfortable that theyโ€™ll play the best guys.โ€

โ€œAs of right now I donโ€™t have a top list anymore. It had been previously released, but Iโ€™m coming out with a top seven on Nov. 29, on my birthday,โ€ he said. โ€œI have to focus right now on my season, but I plan on visiting Michigan some time in December.โ€

Diggs mentioned that he would like to announce commitment during a press conference on ESPN when his high school season ends.
